Shankaracharya Samadhi is behind the Kedarnath Temple. It is known as resting place of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. It is assumed that after establishing the four Dhams in India, Shankaracharya went for his Samadhi.
Vasuki Tal:
The most beautiful and picturesque lake is 6 km away from Kedarnath Temple. It is 4,135 meter above from sea level.
Gaurikund:
Gaurikund is also the nearest location of Kedarnath Temple. It is 14 km away from the Kedarnath Temple. The temple is dedicated to the Gauri.
Kedarnath is as historical place as religious. There are many myths about the place. It is known as the oldest holy place of India. Kedarnath is the beautiful location for travelers and tourists to know the history, myth, natural beauty and Hindu religion of India.
From my point of view, Kedarnath gives a picturesque look of natural beauty as well as historical evidence. Overall, Kedarnath is the holy town of northern India.

Almora district is situated in state of Uttarakhand, India. The small town of northern India was founded in 1568. Almora is known as the cultural heart of the Kumaon region of Uttrakhand.
Almora is located on a ridge at the southern edge of the Kumaon Hills of the Himalaya range. The most famous river of the town is Koshi and Suyal. It is surrounded by thick forests of pine and fir trees.

It is known as picturesque corner also. It is 2 km away from the centre of the city.

It is 6 km away from Almora. Kasaar Devi temple is known for serenity.
Chitai:
Chitai is also 6 km away from Almora. The temple is dedicated to the Lord Golla.

Dehradun is the most famous district of North India. It is the capital of Uttarakhand state. It is about 230 km far away from Delhi. Dehradun is located in a beautiful Doon valley. The beautiful district is covered by Himalayas. It is surrounded with Sivalik Hills in the south, the river Ganga in the east and the river Yamuna in the west.
Dehradun is surrounded by the most beautiful cities of North India also – Haridwar, Rishikesh, Roorkee, Mussoorie and Saharanpur. The most famous product of the city is “Dehradooni basmati rice”.
Dehradun city was founded by Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji in eighteen century. The climate of the city is very attractive. Tourists enjoy in winter with snowfall in the city.

Pithoragarh is a city and Municipal Board in Pithoragarh district at Uttarakhand in India. Pithoragarh is a small town which is in the center of the western half of the Soar Valley. It is very similar to Kashmir valley on a miniature scale. Panch Chulhi, Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot snow-capped peaks are captured by Pithoragarh.
Pithoragarh is known as the gateway of north Himalaya also. You can walk out Kailash, Lake Manasarovar and Om Parvat pilgrims from Pithoragarh.
The main attraction of Pithoragarh are forts – the Government Girls’ Intermediate College building and the treasury and the tahsil. Chandak, Dewalthal, Dharchula, Munsiyari and Kali Mandir of Gangolihat are the other attractions of Pithoragarh town.
The most famous Lord Shiva cave temple, Kapileshwar Mahadev is also situated near about 3 km of Pithoragarh.

Chamba is known as the hill station of North India. It is situated in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand, India. It is a nagar panchayat. You can say it a small town also. It is situated on the cross road of Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Tehri and New Tehri. It is on the mid-way of Chamba-Dhanaulti road. Chamba is known as the ideal place to spend holiday also. So, it is one of the best holiday places of North India also. Tehri Dam is basically a dam of Uttarakhand which is known as 5th tallest dam of world. The dam was situated in Uttaranchal but it is now in Uttarakhand state of India. The dam is a major hydroelectric project under Tehri Development project near Tehri town, Uttarakhand, India.
Now, there is a question, is the place has importance from traveling point of view? Yes, it is one of the most important places of north India for tour and traveling. There are many things to see for tourists.
Yes, surly it can’t be a holiday destination or summer vacation place or usual traveling place but surly, it is the place which has great worth to travel. The height of Tehri Dam is 855 feet which is built on the Ganga River. The dam generates 2400 MW, irrigate about 270,000 hectares and supply of 270 million gallons of drinking water each day to Delhi, Uttar Prdesh and Uttarakhand, India.
Surly, Tehri Dam is not a traveling place of north India but it the place which has great worth for tourists. A tourist can think that it is only a dam and here is nothing to see but it is not the true fact.
For travelers, Tehri town and dam is the most beautiful place to enjoy and travel. In India tourism guide, the place is worthless but still I claim that it is one of the most beautiful towns of north India to travel.
It is situated in the foothills of Himalayas. Tehri Dam is the tallest dam of Asia. If you have plan to visit here then you can enjoy in Bhagirathi and Bhilangana valleys which is near Tehri town. You can enjoy on the dam also with biggest water supply and beautiful scene of water flowing.

A tourist can enjoy seeing the biggest dam. He can view the engineering of the dam and most beautiful places which is near about the dam. It is not Char Dham where you can visit for religion purpose. You can travel here to see water storing, water flows and range of Himalayas.
To reach here you can take bus or train for Uttarakhand from Delhi. It is well connected from air also. Reaching here by train is really great experience of traveling.

Rishikesh has own rich history in north India. It is not a new traveling place but we can say it is a historical place of north India. Rishikesh is situated in Uttarakhand state of India. It is municipal board also in Dehradun District. It is one of the nearest places of Haridwar. You should know that it is known as gateway of Himalayas also. Rishikesh tours have great worth because it is the starting point to travel Char Dham.
Rishikesh words come from Sanskrit language that means “lord of the senses” (the God Vishnu). It is located in northern India in Himalaya foothills. Here, you will be able to see a great thing – Lakshman Jhula which is made by using jute rope. It is a bridge which was built by Lakshmana to cross the river Ganga. In the present time, it is not a jute rope bridge but it is now a strong bridge. There are Lakshmana temple and Lord Rama temple on the bank of the river.
Indian government has built a Ramjhula bridge which cross the Ganga River. Its official name is Sivananda Bridge which is not a historical. Rishikesh is also known as “the world capital of Yoga”. It attracts tourists as a Yoga and pilgrimage place. In the modern time it is the most famous as Yoga and meditation place of north India.
I like the most Rishikesh because it gives a glimpse of natural beauty. The place has many rivers, temples and jungle. Rishikesh traveling is the tours of heaven in north India. I never had seen this type of geography and climate. It gives the beauty of nature. The place is famous for natural remedies also. The place attracts tourists as hill station and pilgrimage.
Rishikesh is also the most famous place as white water rafting in the Ganga River. The best seasons for water rafting are September-November and March-April-May.
Jolly Grant is the nearest airport from Rishikesh which is about 15 Km away from Dehradun. Train route is also easiest option to reach Rishikesh. It is well connected to Haridwar. From Delhi station there are many trains for Haridwar like – AC Special Express, Mussoorie Express, Shatabadi Express, Jan Shatabdi etc.

Char Dham broadly known as four abodes of God in the four directions of India. These destinations are – Puri in the east, Rameshwaram in the south, Dwarka in the west, and Badrinath in the north. These are most traveling places for Hindus as religious places of India.
There is another “Char Dham” in Uttranchal – Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath. These are situated in Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand state in north India.

Badrinath: it is also one of the holy town of Chamoli districts in the state of Uttarakhand. The pilgrimage was established by Adi Shankara in the ninth century. The place is known as godhead, Vishnu. So, it is most important pilgrimage place of Char Dham.
Kedarnath: the holy town is situated in Uttarakhand. It is about 3584m above sea level in the Himalayas. It is near the head of Mandakini River. Kedarnath temple is a popular destination for Hindu pilgrims and it is known as one of the holiest Hindu temples. The place is known by the name of King Kedar who ruled here in the Satya Yuga.

Bisar is one of the most beautiful places of north India. It is the destination of wildlife for tourists. In Uttrakhand, it is known as most reliable place for wildlife traveling. Binsar is situated in Uttrakhand state of India which is near about Almora. Its distance from Almora is only 33 km in north side. The place is on the top of Jhandi Dhar hills. So, it looks amazing in the morning and in the sunset.
Binsar is on the top of hills so, you are able to see all the tourists places which is near about 300 km – Kedarnath Peak, Shivling, Trisul and majestic Nanda Devi. You can view all these from ‘Zero Point’ which is in Binsar.
Binsar has rich history. It was the capital of Kings “Chand”. Chand emperor ruled over Kumaon from 11th to 18th centuries AD. The place was established in 1988 as wildlife for the conservation and protection of the shrinking broad leaf oak. The forest has about 200 birds’ species and it is under Central Himalayan region.

The forest has wide geography which covers over 45.59km². The place has been acclaimed as hill resort of India for traveling and tourism.
Travelers can walk, relax and soak in the sight of beautiful forest in Binsar. It offers beautiful valleys with lots of flowers, trees and plants to attract visitors. If you have plan to travel in Binsar then you should collect some necessaries things like – raincoat, umbrella etc. If you came to visit Binsar then you should surly travel these places also – Jageshwar, Patalas Bhubneshwar.
During the traveling of Binsar tourists can see Khali Estate and Binsar Mahadev which are most famous, here. Khali Estate was the home of Sir Henry Ramsay who was the British commissioner of Kumaun from 1856 to 1884.
To reach Binsar a person can take a bus or a train for Almora. Almora is well connected with rail and bus route.

Indraprastha Park of Delhi in another word is also known as Sanjay Gandhi Park. It is one of the biggest parks of Delhi to enjoy, play and fun. The park is mainly for couple nowadays, but it has great importance from traveling and tourist point of view also.
The Indraprastha Park starts from Nizamuddin Railway station of Delhi and end to the corner of Pragati Maidan from South to North. From East it starts from the side of ITO road and end to the railway track of Nizamuddin.
If you visit the park, you will always get lots of family, school students, localities and couple. The park is well maintained by local authorities. In the park big sports like – Football, Cricket and Volleyball are not allowed.
There is no charge to enter in the park. In the center of park there is a big restaurant to fresh mood. Most of the families make a party in the park. It is rich from traveling point of view. It has historical importance also due to its geography.

Indraprastha Park is very neat and clean also. There are lots of flowers, trees and plants also to see. Grass of this park is very soft which provoke visitors to seat there. Many trees and plants give a polluted free air to enjoy visitors of the park.
From the India traveling point of view Indraprastha Park of Delhi is most suitable for fun and party. Either you can arrange your eatable by your homes or by the restaurants which is in the park.
In the day time it is most gathering park for the students and in the evening time it is for the couple.
It is very easy to reach Indraprastha Park because it is well connected by Ring roads of Delhi. Anyone can reach here by Outer Mudrika or Inner Mudrika here. It is in the center of Delhi with greater beauty and biggest like – Sanjay Lake in Delhi.
