Hemkund Sahib: it is one of the most sacred Sikh pilgrimage place. Here is a story behind this that Guru Govind Singh who was the tenth Sikh Guru (spiritual head of the Sikhs), had meditated by the Hemkund Lake in his previous birth. It is around 28 km from Joshimath by road.

Valley of Flowers: it is in Chamoli district and it is most beautiful place of the world. It is just 27 km from Joshimath. Here is many flowers of different varieties with their original beaut.

Gurso Bugyal: it is also about 3 km away from Auli. It is a vast meadow spread among forests of Oak and conifers. Here is highest peaks of Himalyas like Nanda Devi and Trishul parvat. You can see snow covered land in the winter season.

To reach Auli you can go there by Air, Rail and Road. Nearest Airport is Jolly Grant in Dehardun which distance is about 298 km from Auli.

Nearest Railway station is Rishikesh which distance is around 250 km from Auli. If you want to go buy bus from Joshimath. It is only about 13 km away from Auli.

    We want to go to Vashnodevi in October 2009. From there to Auli. I want to know the distance between Auli and Kulu and the the road map between these destinations.
